SPIDER Yamaha YZF-R9 Spider Engine Alternator Cover - WSS Left Crankcase. CNC machined from high-grade 7075-T6 aluminium billet for high strength and durability. Reinforced at critical contact points to help protect engine covers and crankcases in a crash or fall. fits of SPIDER over the Original Cover •? ?The original protrudes significantly from the bike, which can cause a problem of ground clearance on some tracks when cornering. The Spider crankcase is slimmer and eliminates this risk. •? ?The original is a single piece, so to remove the alternator, you must drain the oil from the engine and then remove the part. With the Spider crankcase, you only need to remove the outer part. •? ?It is made of billet aluminum, so it is stronger and more resistant in a crash protecting the engine internals. It is also compatible with SPIDER engine protection (20.Y319), which can be mounted on top and is the same as that used by many teams in the Supersport World Championship.
