SPARK 3,6 kg vs STOCK 7,8 kg

Spark R&D has developed a comprehensive and highly competitive range of exhaust systems, including both 3/4 and full systems, designed to deliver maximum performance for Japanese supersport motorcycles. The systems are available in a variety of materials and with different silencer options to suit a range of aesthetic preferences and noise requirements.

Strict noise limits have been introduced at European circuits for both free practice and race days, with the maximum permitted dB level varying according to the championship and engine capacity. Spark has therefore developed a range of products that deliver maximum performance while complying with these noise restrictions, without the need for dB killers.

To cater for different aesthetic and sound preferences, several silencer options are available. The Force silencer and the new Force Evo are designed to comply with the 107 dB limit required by the French Championship and the Endurance World Championship. The Konix Evo is available for applications with a 113 dB limit, while the Grid-O silencer is intended for applications where higher noise levels are permitted.

Remapping is recommended.

3/4 Systems

The 3/4 system consists of a 2-into-1 manifold that replaces the catalytic converter and original silencer. It has been specifically developed to maximise performance while retaining the original manifold.

The available 3/4 systems are:

  • 3/4 KIT D.60: 2-into-1 titanium collector + KONIX EVO silencer — GKA8841T

  • 3/4 KIT D.60: 2-into-1 titanium collector + GRID-O silencer — GKA8843T

  • 3/4 KIT D.60: 2-into-1 titanium collector + FORCE EVO silencer — GKA8844T

Full System

The full system represents Spark's top-of-the-range solution, developed in collaboration with teams competing in major international championships. Alongside extensive research into the optimum collector dimensions for maximum performance, advanced technologies and structural features ensure exceptional reliability.

From an aesthetic perspective, the connecting pipes feature visible welds that emphasise the system's racing character. However, the welds, segments and cones are not merely decorative details; they are the result of extensive development and testing. Following repeated dynamometer tests, specific cones outside standard production specifications were selected because they deliver the optimum torque characteristics.

This pursuit of maximum performance, developed in collaboration with the Orelac Racing Team in the World Superbike Championship, has now been incorporated into Spark's catalogue through its full-titanium collector systems.

The system produced up to 2021 has since been replaced by a new manifold configuration, offering improvements in both performance and technical reliability. The updated design incorporates CNC-machined bushes at the couplings, further enhancing the construction and durability of the system.

Also, as with the 3/4 systems, the full systems are available with different silencers to accommodate different sound level requirements and aesthetic preferences.

The available full systems are:

  • FULL SYSTEM D.60: Stainless steel collector + FORCE silencer — GKA8803T
  • FULL SYSTEM D.65: Titanium collector + FORCE EVO silencer — GKA8849T
  • FULL SYSTEM D.65: Titanium collector + KONIX EVO silencer — GKA8847T
  • FULL SYSTEM D.65: Titanium collector + GRID-O silencer — GKA8848T
