SPARK 4.7 kg vs STOCK 6.4 kg

Compatible with original manifolds, Spark manifolds, and all aftermarket manifolds that use the same connections as the OEM system.

In the early 1990s, the Mantua-based company decided to launch its own Spark aftermarket line, created specifically to customize the newly released carbureted Ducati Monster with a distinctive style. From that first project—developed alongside the equally legendary Ducati 916—the passion for the Borgo Panigale brand has continued to grow. As a result, for every new Monster model, the R&D department has introduced several alternatives into the catalogue, each featuring unique and carefully crafted details.

For the Monster S2R and S4R, the range includes a modular, homologated slip-on kit compatible with both the Spark Racing manifold and the original catalyzed manifold.

The pair of round, large-diameter silencers (GDU0818) is supplied with dedicated mounting hardware, allowing one silencer to be positioned on the right and the other on the left, at seat height. The result is a truly distinctive and extreme setup with a strong, individual character. The silencer bodies are made from carbon fiber, featuring a refined weave and a matte finish.

In addition, a racing manifold is available to be combined with either Spark silencers or the original silencers:
– GDU8501 for Monster S2R 800 (04–06) / S4R (03–06)
– GDU8508 for Monster S2R 800 (07–13)
– GDU8503 for Monster S2R 1000 (06–08)

This manifold removes the catalytic converter.

Made from AISI 304 stainless steel, the manifold is designed to fit directly onto the original cylinder connections. Its diameters and internal routing are engineered to improve performance without requiring changes to the ECU mapping or the original control unit. Eliminating the catalytic converter reduces operating temperatures—especially noticeable on long journeys—and provides significant weight savings.

The manifold is equipped with lambda sensor ports, allowing the original sensor to be repositioned. The collector features an electropolished finish that protects the material from external agents such as salt used on roads in Nordic countries, which typically cause uneven staining on standard or competing collectors.

By combining the manifold with one of Spark’s silencer options, it is possible to create a complete, high-performance system in a modular way, allowing the upgrade to be purchased in two separate stages.
